So I was supposed to spin at The Eldridge tonight but the gig got cancelled due to the blzzard. It started off pretty weak but made up for it fast. I decided to go into the city and pick up my wife. I didn't like the thought of her walking alone in the snow or jumping into a cab with the roads as slippery as they are. As I was walking to pick her up I saw these two. I wasn't the only guy doing the right thing. Keep her warm.
End of the night

Merry Christmas
I've been a little busy as of late with the DJ gigs and working on other photographer's shoots so I haven't been able to shoot much over the last 2 weeks. I did go out one night last week and snapped this shot of Grand Central. This is my Christmas photo for you. Hope you like it. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza and to my bori's back on the island, Feliz Dia De Los Reyes.

The Rub @ Southpaw 12/5/09
Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer
The Rub @ Southpaw with DJ Cosmo Baker, DJ Eleven and DJ Ayres has been running for 7 years now. That is a feat in the most fickle town in the world and at the same time this party represents what's greatest about our city: diversity. The people, the music, the dj's and the staff all come together so perfectly that it feels like were all old friends and anyone visiting Brooklyn for the first time would never want to leave.
The photos are in chronological order, from start to finish, I shot from open to close. I used 3 techniques: Front curtain sync to give the blurred light effect. A couple 30 second exposures for the ghostly shots and a few shots using available light, meaning no flash, just a monopod. I shot close to 1000 photos throughout the night and I'll be updating this in the next few days so check back for more but this is what I like so far...hope you do to.
