Zeyi: Working For Bill
Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer
Here are some photos from a shoot I did with an artist named Zeyi. Zeyi is a Rockland County MC and I must admit a very thorough one at that. Who knew Rockland was bringing heat? By day this dude is an accountant for a bank and by night he's in the studio making beats and writing rhymes. He hit me up about taking photos through a mutual friend and sent me this link for his latest mixtape Working For Bill. I haven't stopped listening to it since I first heard it and ya'll know I'm fickle when it comes to Hip Hop. The shoot went well, pretty easy and effortless and we nailed all the ideas we wanted to accomplish. Big ups to Zeyi and to John Lopez for making it all happen.

After the studio session with Kenny Summit the three of us went out for some drinks and I asked Eric what inspired him to write The Whistle Song because to me it always seemed like it must've been something profound and beautiful. Something like Myra. On the contrary. He said it was the first time he'd been drunk from drinking Scotch, sat down in front of the keyboard and came up with the song in 20 minutes. Heres to Scotch( with a Scotch in hand), Eric Kupper for the song and Kenny Summit for the great night. Cheers fellas!

Not as many photos as I usually take at The Rub because I moved on Thursday, shot a recording session on Friday night in CT. Shot a wedding Saturday morning in CT. and then finally The Rub that night. I was exhausted to say the least but I managed to get some gems.

I haven't been to the new Coney Island, maybe because I loved it the way it was. These photos are a few years old and taken during several visits to one of my favorite places on the planet. CONEY ISLAND, BROOKLYN

A Day In The Life: Sunny Walters
Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer
Sunny has been dancing all her life but for the last 10 years most of it has been spent on the road, living out of a suitcase from hotel to hotel or in her sanctuary, the dressing room backstage. The hours are long, the rehearsals take a toll on the body, but like the saying goes “the things you love hurt the most”. Sunny is a NYC product hailing from Queens, NY. A Towsend Harris High School grad majoring in dance and a student of the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Occasionally a tour she’s dancing in makes a stop in her hometown, NYC, and she gets to go home. These photos here document the journey from home to the stage.
